Gratiot Lake Conservancys Second Annual Open House had a perfect day and a wonderful turn out. Eighty-five lakeside residents and friends attended the event at the Newly refinished Noblet Field Station.
Many residents and friends contributed treats from delicious brownies to spicy salsa dip to the festivities.
The day was a nice opportunity for visiting and relaxing and for learning about the Conservancy and its activities and programs.
The cabins new solar panels powered a video player showing Whats in The Mud, the viewed a replay of that evenings presentation.
Leonard Bohmann the Michigan Tech professor who supervised the solar panel project was on hand with his family.
Raven and Mike Scheiwe of Headwaters spoke with visitors about their educational and research programs at Gratiot and lead some on a new path being opened on Conservancy land.
