Aquatic Ecology:
Field Study at Gratiot Lake

Six students (photo) attended Michigan Tech’s Summer Youth Program: Aquatic Ecology at Gratiot Lake from July 25 to July 29. They camped for five days at the Noblet Field Station and studied the ecology of lakes and streams.

The lead teacher of the group, Rose Schwartz, was assisted by Neva Bently.

William Becker, a homeschooler at the Keweenaw Discovery Center in Hancock, was awarded the Rita and Jack Sandretto Scholarship to attend.
